  1. Why the dark time after clipping ? will a food dehydrator set at room temp, fan on high do any bad things to my crop? can the hydrator be in the dark room till it is dry enough to go to jars. Thanks last crop went from flushed plant to brown bags for 3-5 days then jars for 3-6 weeks or at least as long as I could stand it.Thanks for your help just trying to get my next season started it is going to be 3 snowberry and 3 Ingmars punch

  2. You don't necessarily need dark time after removing the buds from the plant, just keep them out of light.

You can go through all sorts of methods to more quickly dry your bud, but it has always worked best for me to air dry it. Just hang it in a room with a little bit of air circulation for a few days until the stem almost snaps when you bend it, then move it to brown bags until it's smokably dry, then transfer to jars for long-term curing and storage.
