Tinted green greenhouses or clear?

    So what's the deal with the tinted green covers? Better or worse? Less hot spots ect....

    They reduce heat but also eat a ton light, I wouldn't do it

    Depends on where you are. In the SoCal desert my GHs all have 6 mil opaque (6%) plastic + 30% shade cloth from June through Sep. Keeps temps 10 degrees lower, increases water retention, greatly reduces transplant stress. Does cause some stretching but I like the diffusion from tinted as opposed to clear

    If its tinted green it will block green though.
