Welcome to GC. Generally people use something like a paper clip, or a walnut opener. Just takes practice, and every pipe seems to build resin differently. Just as best as you can scrape it out, then roll it into a pile onto a piece of paper or something...
what they said ^^ paper clips work real well. bobbi pins (sp?) work well too. however, if you have the money for actual cleaner, i suggest "Grunge off Super Soaker". Best cleaner out there - and it's reusable! but if you're going for keeping the resin, then a paper clip or bobbi pins work the best
my local headshop gives out purple power if you spend over a hundred bucks. the stuff works great pour it in let it sit for 40 minutes take it out rinse the bong and its spotless. oh and its reusable too
