I have an acrylic bong that looks like this one Acrylic Double Bubble Bong 'Hashish' - Acrylic Bongs - Bongs & Waterpipes - Smoking Pipes - Grasscity.com and I need to know how to clean it. It has a shit ton of resin stains on the inside, especially in the bottom bubble. I don't know how to wipe all of the stuff out. I know to use iso and salt but what is the best thing to wipe it clean after I soak it? Because its hard as hell to get down in there.
I've heard good things about putting pipes in water in a pan and boiling the water, that might be a good supplement to the iso wash. Depending on the shape, there probably isn't something that will be able to scrape the res off the sides
i dont think boiling his acrylic bong is the best advice to give. but i have heard even Iso degrades acrylic. i would purchase the acrylic cleaner that formula 420 makes thats probably your best bet.
Nothing then. Acrylic is difficult to clean without damage or making it degrade which would lead to your lungs being filled with nice acrylic byproducts. No one really cleans acrylic. Shoulda bought glass.
If you are going to use a solvent, you NEED to make sure its acrylic safe Isopropyl alcohol, is NOT... if you let it soak in there, it could potentially destroy the bong......
thats exactly what I was going to say. Solutions that are used to clean glass eat plastic away. Partily why you aren't supposed to smoke out of plastic. because it isn't as stable as glass.
