Hey all, just a quick question about clay soil...When I dug my whole I made it 5x5 and 1.5 ft deep, and filled it about half way with my own soil underneath my soil mix is an orangeish red clay soil I was wondering if anyone thinks this will be a problem for root expansion or not. I heard clay soil has drainage problems so I layered the bottom of the hole with a 3 LB bag of perlite before dumping in my own soil.
