So being a Sci-Fi buff I am Pretty ashamed to say until the past few days I never really watched much Star Trek or any of the old movies.. got around to downloading pretty much all of them.. watched the first 2 so far.. pretty cool stuff.
I was kind of in the same boat, but I went like backwards lol started with Enterprise and now I just finished off TNG, all that I have left is TOS to watch. TBH I liked Deep Space 9 more than any of the series once it started to get going (by like season 3) voyagor was kind of meh for me, TNG was pretty damn good and Enterprise was had some good episode but most of them were filler. I've seen all of the TNG movies, which are all kind of mediocre except First Contact, only seen Wrath of Khan in the ToS timeline but it was pretty good
I'm on season three of Enterprise, I only watch it when I eat food lol. I agree, DS9 is by far the best. It was the most original. Had epic battles and people actually died and shit. That symbiant girl ( I forgot her name) I used to day dream about as a kid hahahah. The very first star trek movie is like Sci-fi porn in my book. Slow as fuck, long as fuck, lots of just flying through trippy portions of space. The whole plot was great too! All the movies are good in my book, seen every single one. I even thoroughly enjoyed Star Trek: Into Darkness, despite my hatred of J.J. Abrams. But that movie just tickled all my action packed star trek fantasies. And who doesn't like Eggs Benedict Cummerbund!!!!????
Tongue, deep space nine and voyager are great. I been netflix'ing them.the captain kirk one is not to great IMO.
