city water PH

    Got this fairly inexpensive PH pen I bought from amazon. Reading tap water in winter would consistently give me a 7.5ph. Since maybe a week I get more like 6.75ph. I did calibration witch is in the acceptable limit of a cheap pen (0.25 difference).
    So is it possible tap water from city change from season to season?
    I live in Montréal Canada. If anybody lives on the island could you give me your reading?

    I can't speak for your city but generally drinking water is considered to be acceptable within a reasonalby wide pH range. It is likely that your tap water pH is fluctuating.
