Hello everyone, I am getting close to my first harvest and thought I would share my progress so far. I am in an apartment and have very little room so I decided one girl at a time is all that I could handle for now. I bought a feminized C99 seed from Marijuana Seeds - Single Marijuana Seedsand started germination mid-august. I have a very simple DWC single bucket system that I made, 5 gal bucket, air pump/stone, Techna flora Recipe for sucess starter kit, etc. At first I had CFL's for lights but once I could afford it I switched to a 600W MH/HPS ballast system. I have not run into many problems which really surprises me because I really knew nothing about this stuff until I decided tried it out. When it was a seedling I accidentally left it in a pot that was too small for it for a couple weeks and slowed growth a bit; but I caught on quickly and transplanted it. It was also in the closet for most of the time until it got too big and it had to be moved out into the room. Anyways today is Day 96 from germination, If i were to guess I'd say I have about 3 weeks til harvest time, maybe a bit less. I'll upload my pictures they are all pretty well labelled (week 13 pics were taken yesterday). Let me know what you think!
Lmao damd cats. They loooove ganja plants. Have you found bud hairs yet? I used to pick my cats hair out of mine constantly.
They sure do, eat all the leaves on the bottom of the plant! At least they don't touch the smelly nugs though! Haha the fans blow their hair all over the place too Can't wait for harvest, can't get decent buds around here. That's why I decided to make my own I did quite a bit of research beforehand and C99 was highly recommended for the small space I have and my desired medicinal effects. What kind of yield did you get on your C99 plants? From what i've read I should expect 1-2 OZ per plant indoors.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, been super busy with exams then the holiday season. I got root rot about 1 week before harvest. I was afraid it would somehow affect my buds so I chopped it a bit early. Unfortunately the buds are kind of airy because of that I believe. That being said I got 4 oz off the one plant. Once dried and smoked the effects where great, nice mix between a couch lock and sativa up high. However the taste was not there, I was disappointed at first so decided to cure half of it. Once cured it had a very strong fruity smell and a woody-christmas tree flavour. Nice and smooth, big tokes will make you cough but not harsh on the lungs. Buds are very light green with tons of red hairs and are sticky with resin. I'll post some harvest pics when I'm on the other computer. Also made a batch of cannabutter with trim; made my special soft caramels with the butter.
Here are a couple of pics. Nugs that have been dried then cured for 3 weeks now. The main cola is in a jar I plan on curing for well over a month...or until my stash runs out I just started my next grow journal on a single Pineapple Express plant. I'll try to keep a more up-to-date journal this time around; hopefully I'll get a more interesting thread going!
