    Though according to the bible God allowed alcohol to be enjoyed. In deuteronomy 14:26 an other places God condones alcohol use, but when a couple of priests came to offer sacrifices while drunk, God struck them dead. Wine can sometimes be a sacrament according to the bible, but Paul criticizes the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 11) for being drunk while they take communion, Paul says this behavior would make them "guilty of the body and blood of the Lord." If you really believe the bible, I would not go to mass while high because God could see it the same way as when under the influence of alcohol.
