Chrome or White reflector

    Hi all

    I was wondering - between chrome and white reflectors - Is one better than the other, or is there no difference at all in the outcome? Here is an example of what I'm talking about, they list 2 different ones for the 400w, and the white is more expensive.

    How is white better than chrome? Wouldn't chrome reflect more light?

    Its not a matter of which one reflects the most light really,
    They both reflect the same amount of light, since neither absorbs any light!
    Flat white diffuses light better though, Reflects it more evenly than Chrome/Polished aluminium which can reflect light very unevenly on a surface since it reflects a 'Real image'/Mirror type reflection.

    I would assume chrome is similar to foil, in the fact that it can reflect and makes hot spots, which could burn your plants.

    i happen to have some chrome paint. used for propane tanks and the sort. would that work as well or better than say, a flat white paint?

    I'd go with the flat-white paint m8!
    Not saying the chrome paint wouldnt work, but i dont think it would work half as well as actual chrome so id go with the white!
