  1. i think christmas has become way too commercialized...

maybe it's just me, though? does anyone else feel this way?

  2. Dude, I was just thinking about this kinda.

I was thinking its wayyyy to commercial to be called Christian, but thats alright because its not really celebrated as a Christian holiday anyways. Theres TONS of atheists who celebrate it, and now its more like just an annual winter gift exchange tradition.

Personally I think it would be cool to separate it entirely from anything sacred. Christians can have a "real" Christmas some other time of the year, one with more prayer and charity, and less spoiling your kids and fighting in department stores.

  3. every holiday has become commercialized

  4. While this is very true all that matters is what the holiday means to you. I love Christmas for the real meaning and my family tradition, if it means something special to you, fuck the materialistic shits who just celebrate the gifts and not the holiday.

  5. i'm very anti-materialistic... but i love power, so i love money.. contradicting, i know.

but back to the point, christmas here in sweden is huge. it's all about the love. but when i was in america, it's about "wish lists" and yada yada yada. i sure as hell don't want my children to grow up being spoiled brats :).

  6. Yep.

Side note: It doesn't even feel like the holidays to me.

  7. I hate christmas.

    I really do.

  8. Yup,

Me and some friends actually staged a protest this year - we snuck in to the Santa Parade down the high street in our city with anti-commercialistic signs and kept pace for about 10 blocks before people started coming for us :hello:
