Well there are already are good gun laws in my state. Ny you cannot own a firearm if you were convited of a Felony, Weapons charge, Assault, rape, DWI, or any other, serious offence., There are so many other things. Me personally, I am a law abiding citizen and can walkinto the store, fill out the paperwork. When all is approved I can walk our with my firearm. This is just for rifles. To own a pistol you have to do fingerprints, backround , 10 years of history, 5 references, saftey course and a 6 month wait....not to mention, your history has to be flawless and a 180 dollar fee you lose if your are denied. Its even harder depending on the county you live in What is wrong with that?
Just to check, you do realise a drug charge is classed as a serious offence and would result in you losing your guns?
not really, They dont consider marijuana a misdemeanor here if its under 28 gr so you can get away with a couple UPM. Edit: UPM (unlawful possession of marijuana)---->violation I dont use drugs so Im good...
