there are so many threads here already about the religious use of cannabis that i couldnt decide which to attach this to the end of, and so, it gets it's own thread. many of you who have spent alot of time on Pot-TV will probably have already heard of chriss bennet, but if not... here's a suitable introduction. http://www.pot-tv.net/archive/shows/pottvshowse-4005.html there are MANY shows on which he has appeared, and many of them are such a joy to watch, that it's beyond description. anyways, watch this first one, seek out some more, and post any others you think are really worth sharing.

uhh.... in a sence... i already am. if it truely is a church of the universe, then, the moment i was born (and before), i became a member. and so did everyone else. "you're acting like i need permission to live my life, god gave me that right when i was born" as one of the members said on one of the videos i've seen. any officialdom or formality after that, i'm uninterested in, just as i am uninterested in joining political parties or other "religious" hives.
Like any other religion, it still has its flaws. For instance, I been to churches before. I am aware that if you go at the right times, you are rewarded with a cup of juice, and a cracker. Now tell me, can the church of the universe compare with crackers and juice? /sarcasm
They also offer help a bit in legal matters when it comes to pot and I've heard through the grape vines they helped a few with getting a med card. Some of the members I know aren't in it for the religion half and some are.
Hmm, I believe we have established the separation between church and state. So therefore, the state cannot interfere with church activities. If the Church of the Universe is oficially recognized, then we should be allowed to smoke... for religious purposes of course.
yes, surely the religious half, specifically the reasoning and the coroborative religious texts are there to coroborate, to substantiate a truth i'm sure all of us here have had... that there is nothing wrong or criminal to partake in the use of cannabis.
