    I recently bought a 4 piece plastic grinder for £5 that collects kief and well I kinda regret it but Im happy I didnt get an alluminium one :hello: also is it weird my weed sometimes gets stuck which is annoying and I can only get it out with a twig or something (even after I try grinding more) :L

    I have a metal four-piece grinder, but I start my grind by turning the grinder upside down and grinding that way for a while.

    Then I turn it back, and I have a very fine grind. Perfect for the valve on the Volcano I've got right next to me. :smoke:

    A metal grinder would be perfect for me but the aluminium is bad for your health :(

    OP is confused, yeah the metal is bad but that can be avoided. The shavings come from the CNC machine that sculpts is. If you have a well made grinder and not something cheap from China, all it requires is a good soap + water wash and dry when you first buy it. That rids it from any excess aluminium that you dont want in your bud.

    I've had my Sharpstone for 2.5 years now and I have never had a broken tooth or metal shavings in my weed. I washed it when I first got it but havent since. I do routine iso washes on it to keep it free of gunk and to keep the screen clear.

    Ahh nice man my friend has a cheap metal grinder that collects kief and I wanna buy it of him, good idea? I already have a decent plastic one

    stick with the plastic until you have some cash around to buy a nice american made metal one (sharpstone has them available on their website).

    You dont want a cheap metal one because it will eventually fall apart, and you risk having contaminents in your stash.

    Yeah its cool man, the more keif you collect though is the more keif comming off your buds. I have a keifbox also. Smoking keif is nice but its the greatest when you get a gram saved up and you press it. I have a keif press that presses it into these perfect 1x1 pucks.

    Oh btw do some grinders not actually collect kief even though they are supposed to? some of my weed falls down into the third piece and some of my weed stays between the first and second piece :L

    Yeah, some cheaper ones have odd micron sized screens that can let plant matter in your keif, or can only let the smallest peices through. A nice wash in iso every once in a while keeps the screen clear.

    Personally when I grind my bud, I turn the grinder, then shake it a few times to get any stuck peices loose, grinder a little more, shake, and then open.

    You should have gotten a Diamond Grinder, ive used multiple times and never gotten shavings, I check often. It honestly collects almost enough kief to top a bowl after 2 uses.

    4 chamber.

    I copped $45 for it but well well worth it.

    Yeah it's good, still works like new and I get to choose how coarse or fine I want to grind.
