Hi. This is my first time growing and I'm having trouble choosing a ballast/reflector. I'm looking for a 400w HPS and I ran across this site: 400 Watt Remote Grow Light Ballasts Will any of these do? They are all Sun Systems ballasts. Should I be considering a different brand? I take it I can use any HPS bulb in these. From their official website, it looks like all of the ballasts sold at LSL.com have a 5 yr warranty though not all of them have the EZ Capâ„¢ Door. Does anyone have any experience with Sun Systems or laststoplighting.com? This is the reflector I was thinking about getting with it: Sun System Magnum XXXL 6" Air-Cooled Grow Light Reflector (Sun System Magnum XXXL 6" Air-Cooled Grow Light Reflector). Any other reflectors I should be considering? For the two, it'd be ~$350 with shipping (no tax).
Yeah Sun systems is a great brand. how many plants are you intending to grow? because for the money, you might as well get a 600w and ditch the 400 and get a reflector with a 8" duct. but i would stick with the sun systems, i LOVE their reflectors .
