Chipped glass pipe safe?

    Today I bought a glass bowl from a friend, and as I was cleaning it with sciscors (dumb idea) I chipped off a small peice of the glass around the airhole on the bottom of the bowl area. and now it sucks alot more air/smoke through faster...and it tastes funny/different, I dunno whether im smokign something bad or what....is this safe?

    I've chipped my bowl twice. Once on the carb, and once at the end of it (where you inhale from)

    i did the EXACT same thing a few nights ago to my bowl, except i was using a butterfly knife, not scissors. sucks real bad. I was mad paranoid about inhaling glass into my lungs, because that would really suck. What's even worse then that is now I get a hot cherry goin down my throat when the bowl starts getting nearly cashed

    you should think about sanding that down, then wash it out and then u shoud be good. that way u make it so its not sharp and washing it should take away any glass thats there.

    take care of your pieces, thats why they sell those little padded bags and stuff. regular cleaning and general care will make them last (i have one thats 6 years old and it looks brand new after i clean it.)

    Regular cleaning will not make a glass pipe last longer

    if the hole's big, just get some screens. other than that, i don't think you have anything to worry about.
