c'mon guys i'd like to know this also

 

i beleive the lighter would burn the clay

 

I dont know much about pottery, but I would think you would need to bake it or whatever in one of those ovens before you could smoke out of it, it would burn away any nasty stuff you shouldn't be smoking and harden the clay so it wouldn't melt with a steady lighter flame on it. But I might be wrong

 

I think you could make one all right, but I don't know how safe it is, or whatever. It's probably fine. It might just not be super-sturdy. Can't you bake the clay in a conventional oven to harden it, too? I mean, it's obviously not a kiln, but I made plenty of snowmen in my day, and they were always oven-fired.
