Chill music

  1. Hey what's up guys. I just downloaded Garden State's (the movie) album. It has a couple of songs which are really chill and I like, such as:

Zero 7 - in The Waiting Line
Colin Hay - I just don't think i'll ever get over you
    Cary Brothers - Blue eyes
Iron and Wine - Such great heights

I know such great heights is from postal service, heard all their music and love that scene too, as well as Death cab for cutie.

I'm lookin for other music similar to them or the music i listed, or just any chill music in fact. If any of you have suggestions, they'd be very appreciated. I'm trying to expand my music collection more, i already have a crap load of DnB, psytrance and other techno. Thanks :)

  2. zero 7 r cool, listen to RJD2, bloody valentine and air too

  3. that song is awesome! are those other songs you listed similar too that one??

a lot of 2004 emo music is like that blue eyes song.. if your intrested i could give you a list.. i have to go do some stuff though.. so just like pm me if ya want.. cya :smoke:

  4. Cool i've listened to air, they're decent. Kind of inconsistent though, because some of their songs are great and some just suck heh. The song from Air that was in "Lost in Translation" is great, i forget what its called.

  5. Haha what's up whoopsiedaisy, it's been a while. And no i don't have those pipes lol.

And about RJD2, i downloaded the albums: Since we last spoke, Dead Ringer, and RJD2 is god. Are these guys like hip-hop/electronica? Since we last spoke and the other 2 albums are like completely different. They don't even sound like the same artists. I like the song, "Making Days longer" from Since we last spoke.

I'm gonna start checking out other zero 7 songs and bloody valentine now. Hopefully i can find them.

  6. i love that song making days longer. vicious , cool!

  7. i also love DJ Shadow, especially when i'm stoned, his music sounds so good, and its relaxing, makes u feel like you're connecting with the music, and u feel soooooo free

Vicious, u should buy lost in translation soundtrack, its awesome, i love the film also

  8. rjd2 is cool....deadringer is his best imo

  9. Hooverphonic, Morcheeba, Massive Attack, Portishead, and Thievery Corperation are good ones to start with. Those are more of a trip hop more electronic feel from the UK like the music you were talking about.

If you want to hear a cool band from the 70's check out Cymande if you can find them...they were rastafarians that made some really cool music. See if you can find their songs "Bra" or "Brothers on the Side"

Nick Drake is also a nice chill artist from the 70's...check out his last album Pink Moon

You might also like some Tricky

good luck finding someone you like...I think you might enjoy a lot of the british trip-hop
