Chick poo sodium

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by 2cent420, Mar 7, 2023.

  1. My organic chick poo pellet says all the trace minerals it has and one of them says sodium ? Hm doesn’t say howmuch though ..after killing my soil with sodium I am a little hesitant to add anything with a sodium value

Will this be a “trace” ammount that’s doesn’t count any damage and just included in an analysis as it’s there ? Or should I be concerned

    Also Contains Magnesium, Calcium and other Trace Elements;

    • Copper
    • Zinc
    • Iron
    • Sulphur
    • Manganese
    • Sodium

  2. No animals are harmed making my vegan soil mix. Chicken poo comes from animals, plants do not. Seriously though chic is good :poop:. Moderation is always the key. I like to compost everything before giving it to the plants. I feel safer doing this.

Nothing formal & probly different for every grow but basically on a tarp 1 bundle of peat moss sifted, 1/3 that amt of my sifted compost, if $ allows 1 bag crab/lobster compost, 1 bag kelp compost, 1 bag (or more) ewc's, a shit ton of pumice. mix it up cover it & add a blanket, let it sit until the temp goes up & then down, let it sit as long as possible. I make app 40-50 gallons & re-use. it's not rocket surgery. Many better recipes here i'm sure.

  5. The concern should be on the salts/sodium as by far the majority of hens these days are forced feed hormones even antibiotics, that 'may' over time break down to said salts, as adding chicken poo is hardly an organic venture, unless you know the source

Major classes of antibiotics include the following:

      • Aminoglycosides (e.g., gentamycin, neomycin, spectinomycin, and streptomycin)
      • Bambermycins (e.g., bambermycin, flavophospholipol)
      • Beta-Lactams
      • Penicillins (e.g., penicillin and amoxicillin)
      • Cephalosporins (e.g., cefotaxime)Glycopeptides (e.g., vancomycin—not approved for animal use)
      • Ionophores (e.g., monensin)
      • Lincosamides (e.g., lincomycin)
      • Macrolides (e.g., erythromycin, tylosin)
      • Polypeptides (e.g., bacitracin)
      • Quinolones (e.g., fluoroquinolones)
      • Streptogramins (e.g., virginiamycin)
      • Sulfonamides (e.g., sulfa drugs)
      • Tetracyclines (e.g., chlortetracycline and oxytetracycline)

I’ve asked the producer and he said that is from registered organic poultry farming which doesn’t use antibiotics or vaccinations etc

my own chickens are free also but I can’t use theirs shit atm as non composted
I’m told to feed them salt and kelp regularly but the salt fed is small quantity’s with bicarbonate soda or natural rock salts
They dig through compost and ground all day eating rocks so guess that’s their salt index

plus it sucks farm here near me on chicks day 21 old have 24 inoculations from injection feed to drops in te eye . By the 2nd day they already had their 8th booster
    It sickens me

  7. you getting your poo direct from Frank Purpoo by the semi load? For a tent grow (for us little guys) I doubt you would need much & it''d likely be from a "residential" type chicken.
