Chevy SUVs/trucks with 1 Day Headlight on

Discussion in 'General' started by Lerf, Nov 2, 2012.

  1. Has anyone ever noticed like modern 2008+ Chevy trucks/suvs have only one headlight on? It puzzles me because I'm sure the guy has the money to fix it and im pretty sure it wouldn't break that fast. Is this like an illumanati symbol or something i'm not aware of? I've never seen this at night, only during hours that you normally shouldn't turn on your headlights.

  2. You managed to turn what is likely a manufacturing defect (bulb, wire harness, connectors, electrical system, just a few things that could go wrong there)...

...into a conspiracy involving the illuminati?

    Seriously?

PLEASE pass me whatever you're smoking. It sounds fantastic.

Oh, and for the record, my last car had both bulbs blow at the same time. I figured there was no way in hell it should have done that...just too big of a coincidence...until I spoke to the auto repair shop, who informed me that they may design the circuit that way on purpose. Again, I figured no way....until I walked over to the replacement bulb section and noticed they sold them in pairs. And naturally, the fucking bulbs ain't cheap.

If there is a "conspiracy" anywhere in the automotive world, it's nothing more than corporate execs "conspiring" to get as much money from your wallet to theirs.

  3. It's just the trucks everybody in my family has one and it seems they always have a burned out running light.

  4. Well they are lightbulbs.

Lightbulbs burn out. It's not a conspiracy :p

  5. ...I know why alot of people have blown running lights, it's because you have to take the whole grill off of the chevy trucks to change them....the running lights automatically come on day/night, no matter.

  6. the only semi-conspiracy theory in the automotive industry is that electric cars have been around for decades, and I mean DECADES. There is the technology to make to work well, they have the resources and the funding. It would make a huge difference in the environmental impact. They just are refusing to put them out because fuel companies and oil companies put pressure on manufactures to make gas guzzling cars. There is even the technology to make cars way more fuel efficient than they are today.
This is going way the fuck off topic though

  7. its chevys back to like 2002 they have so many fucking electrical issues its not even funny and it should be a recall but we all know GM cant afford to fix everyones lights for free haha.

  8. yeah pretty much. my grandfather knew a Toyota/GM executive and they said that they had electric prototypes but since it didn't run on oil and other bullshit, they scrapped the cars and forgot about clean renewable energy. ALL FOR THE GREEN BILL.

On my woman's Dodge she has the goofy tire air pressure sensors, and when a tire is low the headlight of the side the tire is low is usually on ( or vice versa ).

Not sure if the Chevys have that system.

After a quick google, Chevy uses the TPMS system as well

  10. Yes, the illuminati is taking over automotive lightbulbs.

    The end is near.
