  2. is that perlite sitting on top?

  3. What is the reason for putting perlite on top of pots?

  4. the reason is it is a light reflective layer so the light bounces the underleaves it is only a thin layer plus it keeps pests out after a few weeks i change it out but that is just me the soil underneath is the key i have been cooking it 2 months and it is like gold wait and see 1 month from now i will show you what i mean

  5. yes

  6. No offense, but I don't think the perlite will stop pests....or do anything as a reflective barrier. Most likely scenario is algae.

  7. No offense taken I always use it never had issues my ppfd meter says different level l

  8. Elaborate on the ppfd difference please

  9. Itll help protect the soil from heat and light too
