Ok I got the girls transplanted and my room sterilized only thing left is getting the cords off the floor and made neat I have 8 ft of headroom those are each 600 watt metal halide and ready to rock I planned the grow with the change of weather easier to keep the temperature down 1 pound per plant is my goal wish me luck
the reason is it is a light reflective layer so the light bounces the underleaves it is only a thin layer plus it keeps pests out after a few weeks i change it out but that is just me the soil underneath is the key i have been cooking it 2 months and it is like gold wait and see 1 month from now i will show you what i mean
No offense, but I don't think the perlite will stop pests....or do anything as a reflective barrier. Most likely scenario is algae.
