Recently I was talking to a bud tender at my local dispensary about chemicals in marijuana. This topic was brought up due to reading an article in high times magazine about high levels of nitrogen and other chemicals being used to increase yield in marijuana. The article has stated that the levels are too high for the human body to break down properly and are there for dangerous to our health. I have a couple questions: Should I be worried? I know I could go organic but what are the risks of using chemical grown marijuana? Am I more at risk than others because I use only a vaporizer? What about bud mold? *off topic but I figured I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone* please get back to me with your accurate responses in your on time, thank you.
Considering only till recently did Dispensaries check for that really and everyones been smoking it untested your probably fine, but flushing should be done and it eliminates most of all of that. Also dispensaries in some areas have been testing bud as well for it prior to buying. Organic doesn't necessarily mean its any better for you. Especially today when that label has been expanded on so many times through lobbing. A good example is in foods. When GW Bush got into office he hooked up the industry by signing legislation that added 40-50 chemicals that were once considered non organic as organic. That term is all in the definition. Another example of man made vs organic is say MSG. You can synthetically create that today but tomatoes are packed with MSG..alot of foods are. So to bypass the FDA requiring MSG labeling they use tomato powder alot in snack foods. They add it knowing its packed with MSG. So if your a non MSG user its very hard. Anyhow long story short many organic fertilizers are the same chemically as non organic there just not man made. Bat Guano is organic its high in phosphorus and nitrogen so you can get the happy feel good your using bird/bat poop or you can use phosphorus nitrogen that is non organic but looks identical in a test. Either way your still getting it. If your buying your meds from a dispensary ask if they test. If your growing make sure you flush. You'll be fine with either. Smoking mold would be not be advised. Dispensaries check for that as well. To eliminate a lot would be a Vaporizer as you suggested but that only saves you from the combustable carcinogens that might be given off. All vaporizing does is boil the THC off and you breath the vapor. Many chemicals have a low vaporizing point and if they do you will breath those in as well.

Yea that sucks. That will be a continuing and on going battle so expect that. All depends whos governor and President. Take Arizona for example. They passed medical cannabis legislation but there nazi governor is sitting on paperwork since she is against it. Get a Nazi President and tide can change fast.
No lol. Considering some like my grandma whos 93 still smokes and shes fine I would say your good. If your worried grow it yourself. You can control A-Z of the product.

The other tricky thing they are doing that actually puts you out business faster at least in California is they unleash the IRS on you. Theres a law on the books that basically states you cant use any deductions on your taxes if your a business that sells any item on the governments list of banned substances. So these dispensaries have been conducting themselves as a business using standard tax practices only to have the IRS come back with new computed taxes that goes back years and want millions of dollars in back taxes paid immediately. No pay they shut you down. Thats how they took down Capone.
Eastern michigan or western michigan? I know Ann arbor dispensaries just got re-approved for zoning permits so no worries as far as that stuff goes...not sure if they guns though...
