Chemically Smelling weed? Smokes good and tastes alright?

    Hey guys I made this account to ask this question because I don't feel like dying.

    I just got some bud and it looks really decent but when I smelled it, I could immediately notice a slight chemical smell and did not smell like anything I've smelled from a bud before. Now I've had exotics all the way to gross schwag and not once have I smelled chemical so I'm a little paranoid.

    I decided to smoke it up in a blunt and it did taste very slightly what it smelled like, kind of how any good bud would. But I don't know if I'm smoking chemicals or I'm smoking good bud. It does slightly taste like the chemical smell but it's not a bad taste at all and I don't mind it so I just wanna make sure I'm not getting some bullshit.

    Anyone ever get something like this, it smells like pine sol or some shit lol

    Some strains just smell like that or someone added terpenes (essential oils basically) to the bud to give it more smell/taste. If they did, it usually comes off tasting chemically.
    You know where your green comes from or is it "outsourced"?

    It’s probably a diesel.
    Sour diesel probably. Doubtful you got ny diesel but maybe.

    I grew something like that a few back and to this day I can’t put my finger on that smell.

    I traded bud with someone because they said it smelled weird, I thought the same but it didn't look like it has anything wrong with it and to be honest the bud smokes great.

    Looks like good weed to me. Just naturally gassy/piny terps.
    Smoke away!

    Usually if people add something like terps to weed, you can see lil sparks as you light a bowl. It will also usually have a harsher throat feel to the smoke. At least that has been my experience. I can't speak for everyone.

    Grower could have used foliar spray during flowering and you are smelling/tasting that.....
