Well the human rights of the victims were violated so it makes sense. I always thought that chemical castration meant dipping the guy's unit in acid.
If they're watching child porn, maybe they just need psychiatric assistance but if they raped a child, they totally deserve to get castrated
I dont think it's extreme. If they're to the point where they molest children, they definatly dont have control of themselves. Its just who they are, and it wont change. Fitting punishment really.
I'm all four it, especially for repeat offenders, something more needs to be done about these sick fucks.

We do this in the states too, I even remember a Law and Order about it. I guess theres ways to counter act the hormone or go back to 'normal' after taking it.
Chemical castration never made sense to me. Sure a lack of testosterone might take the edge off but the desire will probably remain, plus a smart convict could take testosterone supplements. Not only that but now the dude is firing blanks when he blows, all the better for him. They should sever the nerves to their penis so they are physically incapable of reaching orgasm.
It may be interesting for some folks to know, that they've been doing this in the USA for quite some time. It's basically Depo Provera, or 'the shot'... the same chemical/combination of hormones they use for female birth control (this can effect even the female sex drive, negatively).
I think this is a little extreme. He's still a human regardless of what crime he committed and he has the same rights as everyone else (in the USA at least). When people hear stories about child rape all reason goes out the window. Yes it's fucked up but there's a lot more things that could be worse. If he's a US citizen then he is afforded the same human rights as everyone else... Don't forget that. Just because he raped a child does not make him exempt. Murder is actually worse than child rape. If anything they should either put them in solitary confinement for life, or just execute them immediately (assuming he/she is found guilty).
Lets face it, the USA needs to be more strict. So someone does something pretty bad, then punish them....don't send them to jails or prisons or give them therapy. Nah, just do something like public beheadings! Imagine how low crime rates would be if we still did public beheadings! Fuck human rights...I'm so sick of that. The person killed someone....raped someone?...then punish them harshly and make an example for all the rest who try.

Honestly, if I did something bad then I'd accept it and realize that it would be my fault. If I kill someone or rape someone....I would never deserve "rights". Especially all those terrorists who are jailed up or in prisons....they kill so many people yet they have rights? C'mon bro....
