Would that be per batch? Don't think I can fit that much in those bins. Maybe I'll look at the second (or third) suggestions. More to read... Sent from somewhere over there. No, not there...over THERE.
Any thoughts on how much? Just checked and I can get that local. On my way home from work even. Sent from somewhere over there. No, not there...over THERE.
I'd follow the instructions on the bag..... I'd guess it's around 1/2 cup per cubic foot..... could be less if it's pure elemental sulfur. I'm really interested to see how this goes for you..... could be some very flavorful bud lol
True. I'll be running the Thai Stick and White Rhino in that soil. And maybe some THC Bomb if I think I can manage the space. And depending on how many females I end up with on the first two. Figure on planting 5 seeds of each.(regs) in the hope of getting one or two each. Sound about right?
What's your ideal number of plants? I'm assuming it's about 5-6? If so... starting 10 seeds sounds right. Not much is harder than having to toss a female you don't have room for lol. And if you get less females than you hoped for, you can always do some training to spread out your canopy and still maximize yield.
Thanks! Reading and learning as much as I can as I go. This place has been great! Lots of really helpful people around. I think four will be about what I want to do. This first run of three will help me determine how many more than that I want to tackle. Then too I have four Baggin's I can't forget about. Not sure what I'm going to do if any of them are female. The Auto's need more than 12/12 to produce well, so I may go for a really long veg if one of the Baggins turn out to be a girl.
lol I forgot you call them Bagginses..... and that Autos were in the mix. As a general rule of thumb, I would pop double, or slightly under double, the number of female plants that I want. So if I wanted 4 girls, I would pop 7-8 beans.
Well the bag only gives instructions for using it as a fungicide. Not sure I want it to act as a fungicide. I also picked up a soil PH meter so I can get an idea on where I'm at. They guy at the hydro/grow store didn't think all that lime would be a big issue since it is dolomite lime. But it isn't like I could ask the real questions either. About to go transplant the Bagginses. They are slowing down and starting to yellow a bit and the perlite at the bottom of the cups is full of roots. I'll take photos ad all, but wish me luck! They are going into 3 gal. smart pots.
I found an OSU website that recommended 1.5 pounds per 100 square feet for outdoor gardening.... whatever that translates to lol. I would add 1/2 cup per cubic foot and not sweat it. Good luck with the TP
Transplant went well and they were past ready for it. I'll post pics in a bit. I did end up having to mix a little of the new soil in with what I had left from the first batch to have enough for four #3 smart pots. Oh well. The ph on both the new soil and the old was smack dab on 6.7 so I'm happy about that. I'm still going to add some sulphur to the rest of it and may mix some up in water and add to the smart pots this weekend. For the flavor! Sent from somewhere over there. No, not there...over THERE.
Well in spite of what seemed like a short tornado, I do have some pics to upload! First, the before photos. From these you can see how dry the soil is and I watered the mini Hempy's yesterday evening. This first batch is how I found them this afternoon. The bag seeds are right at 24 days from sprouting. The NSA's are 8 days from sprout and will probably catch up to the Baggins pretty quick. I hope. From left to right, Baggins 1 (BS1), North Storm Auto 1(NSA1) and BS3, BS2 NSA 3 and Twisted Sister And a couple of close ups of the transplants in their pots. BS1, BS2, BS3 and TS Now for the roots. First pic shows how the roots had made it into the perlite and were sucking it dry quickly. That is BS2 and TS. And here they after taking them out of the inner cups. BS1, BS2, BS3, TS Finally, in their new homes. Two gallon smart pots, not 3 as I said earlier. My bad. BS1 & BS2 BS3 & TS Whew, now I'm tired from getting this all posted. Time for a toke of what little I have remaining. G'night all!
I'm happy to report that everyone looks good today. I can already see new growth on the transplants. Probably should have done it a few days ago. Oh well, live and learn.
Turned my compost pile for the first time in a while. Yeah, with a tractor because that's how I roll.
Well thanks Greentrails. Got every idea I've used so far from this place. Great community here. Sent from somewhere over there. No, not there...over THERE.
Everyone looks fat and happy this evening. I can see growth on all of them since last night. The transplants are happy happy happy.
