  2. If you have 200 dollars. This light is not what you want. Becauss its inefficient as heck. Id rather get 3 300w mars gen 1s for that price jesus.

If you have a 3x3 youre going to probably need more than 1 light. And 3 300s will do a good bit for you for the same price. But if you can add a bit more moola. Qb's are where its at. A dollar a watt. Plug and play assembly.

These pre built cobs are trash.

Mars just made one i want to test to see if finally someone got it right

  3. Hello M9... I saw your posts on the Mars cob looking for testers good luck to you... I did look at the QB boards they are a bit pricey and never in stock. I am looking at Mars 300 and another 300W light, if I go that route I would start with 2 lights as that would give a total of about 300W I was just curious about this light as it says 300W but from my research so far cree is the only way to really go for Cobs... This will be my first grow set up so looking to keep cost down to start them can upgrade down the road

Another thing I am keeping in mind is keeping electric costs down,, if I run the electric bill up to much my wife will have a shit fit so I need to keep my grow scaled down with only 2 plants maybe even 1 plant if I can learn how to train plants for sog... I would love to get at least 3 oz. out of each harvest that is my goal

  4. 3 oz is very possible with 2 mars 300s i ran a 600 which is 280 true draw and got 4-5 oz. Youll be fine. Yes cree is great but how you drive them is just as important and that light wont get you what you want.

Thank you, make sure to vote on who you think is best in the competition. Id like to win but theres lot of great entries!

As for lighting cost. My leds dont drive it up too much at all, and i have 4 tents going

  5. dont buy this thing, i bought something similair and its not worth the money, and specially not the heat, holy shit.
Cheaped out on cobs themself, cheaped out on driver, cheaped out on heatsinks, these things look all nice untill you use them, like me.
Im now busy making my first diy cob build, if you go budget like me you can make it for only a little more then this chinese crap lights, i went for cxa2520's for 5 usd a piece and cxa2530's for 6 usd a piece. You just need a lot.
