they're all v10's! my dream car right there! not the rt10 but the gts. one of if not the sexiest car in the world! i whip my brothers srt10 all the time nothing sounds better than a cammed v10
I would take the sound of a v8 with an aggressive cam over a v10 with an aggressive cam. The v10's just don't have that deep rumble the v8 produces. You would think an extra two cylinders would give it even a deeper rumble, but nope, it produces a higher pitched exhaust note. Don't get me wrong, the v10's still produce loud and aggressive exhaust note, but that deep rumble is missing.
It's because *usually* cylinders in a V10 are smaller than their V8 counterparts, and for each 4 RPM, the engine is firing 10 times instead of 8. That's why they usually have a less choppy/rumbly sound than V8s. In the Viper's case, it's a huge V10 (like 8L or something) so the cylinders aren't smaller, just the amount of firing to blame. At least, that's why I think V10s don't have as much of a rumbly sound.
How much $$?
Te blue book value is $50,000 and we got it for $31,000 and thats not including the $9000 super charger
dude if my dad got a viper i would steal that shit and go on a joy ride.. should be red or blue with white racing stripes..hell even black with stripes...bad car tho man congrats
i agree to a certain extent nothing has that bubbling rumble like a v8 i have a cammed 5.0 notchback and it sounds great, its a small v8 but makes that great sound we all love.... but imo i think that the v10 is louder and still has that rumble, when you get on it and get off /or down shift that sound of the popping backfire is just as much music to my ears than any domestic v8.. its really hard to explain a sound. also theres so many different aftermarket parts that really curve the overall sound. and to be completely honest i dont even know for fact if my bros srt10 is cammed i was assuming as it sounds like it im sure the dual 3in. exhaust plays a big part in that weather it amplifies the note. very well put! so your pops paid $40,000? not bad how many miles?
i think he paid 31 k. hes saying that it was an even better deal because he got a 9 grand supercharger.
