I haven't tried that cross specifically, but Blackberry is known for being very pretty but really lacking a lot in potency. The AK could definitely add potency so I'd imagine if you found the right phenotype that it would be pretty good.
how exactly do phenotypes work? if you had a plant with a phenotype to have really dark colored buds, (as with that one) and you crossed it with whatever male you wanted, and saved all the seeds, does that mean that all the plants grown from those seeds would also be as colorful?
genetic progression is a complicated process that would take a very lengthy post to deliver a good understanding of the subject. if those berry buds had complete dominance for their color allele, then it is likely that its offspring will have the same or similar color, unless the allele for AK's color is dominant over the allele for dark buds. it also depends on the phenotypes of the plants you're crossing, theres lots of possibilities and more information is needed to be able to tell whether all the offspring plants would have dark buds. hope that helps a little!
thanks mr. boss, that helped....i see your last grow was blueberry and big bud? thats what i'm doing right now ( 5 blueberry, 3 big bud)... my first time growing with a hydro setup. what did you keep your ph at? i've been keeping mine at about 5.7 and within the last week it started kreeping up, i left it one night at about 6.3 and it seemed to be taking up the nutrients faster (cuz the next day the ppm's dropped more than usual) do you know if blueberry likes a higher ph than other strains? should i just leave it how it is?
