just built this, its 5' 7" high and i am deciding between a 600watt and 1000watt lumatek. my too questions are one; what is the difference in yield between a 600 and 1000? and two; if i go with the 1000watt what is the minimum distance need between light and plant? i dont want to burn them if its too short a space EDIT: theres going to be eight plants...
If you put a 1000w in there expect burnt plants, I keep mine in a cooled hood that emits very little heat but even with that I get bleaching at 18in. 600w's have the highest lumen per watt ratio, but yield is about a lot more than lumens.
