Looks good (and appreciate the detail as to the raw design and how you make it), but I am rather curious as to if there is any patent infringement going on here between your design and the original (or perhaps there was no patent filed?) EDIT: No, I was wrong, there appears to be a patent on the original design.
Yeah after reading the patent my current is only channeled through the wire and not the screen. At home I don't have the manufacturing equipment to attach the screen and the wire that is aesthetically pleasing. So it's one single wire that carries the current. Frosted Mini Wheats vs. Frosted Mini Spooners I guess.
I'm not doubting the functionality of the piece, but you should include a lifetime warranty if it breaks, so you can compete better
