I'm going to be growing Auto Flower strain's outdoors. They take 2 - 2 1/2 months from seed to harvest. I'm either going to be starting in April or May. I provided my monthly climate for April - July. Out of all the information about my climate I gave you, should I start in April Or May? April: Average 12 hours of daylight Average daily high temperature is 80 degree, average low 60 degree Average 2 inches of rain Average 90% humidity in the morning, 50% humidity in afternoon Average 75% daily sunshine Average of 50% of month with precipitation Average wind speed is 8 mph May: Average 13 hours of daylight Average daily high temperature is 90 degree, average low 70 degree Average 6 inches of rain Average 90% humidity in the morning, 60% humidity in afternoon Average 70% daily sunshine Average of 50% of month with precipitation Average wind speed is 7 mph June: Average 14 hours of daylight Average daily high temperature is 90 degree, average low 70 degree Average 10 inches of rain Average 90% humidity in the morning, 60% humidity in afternoon Average 70% daily sunshine Average of 50% of month with precipitation Average wind speed is 7 mph July: Average 14 hours of daylight Average daily high temperature is 90 degree, average low 70 degree Average 9 inches of rain Average 90% humidity in the morning, 60% humidity in afternoon Average 70% daily sunshine Average of 50% of month with precipitation Average wind speed is 7 mph
Do you want the pot soon? If you do you should start in April, but most likely late April. 4-20 maybes? If you are in no rush to finish then I would start in mid May. You'll get a more intense, longer lasting sun, which means your buds will get bigger then if you were to start in the late spring sun.
Wait its sunny where you live in April then in May? Maybe you should start in May then. I would start when ever you feel you are most likely to get the best sunlight. All that rain in gonna make water easy
At first I was thinking about starting it in May to get a little longer sunlight and heat, but the grow would extend into all of June and probably 1 - 2 week's into July since there auto's and my concern about that was all the amount of rainfall that happens in June and July. Wouldn't that not be to good? So I am thinking about starting in April, meaning my grow would go into all of May and 1 - 2 weeks into June. Then I wouldn't get that much rainfall, being as April and May are fairly dry. Only thing about that tho, is if I started in April instead of May, I would get 12 hours of sunlight instead of 13 to start off with. What do you think about that?
I don't know much about rainy climates. I'm from a dry one. Only thing you should have to worry about though is mold to my knowledge. If you want more sunlight it shouldn't be a problem.
The two biggest obstacles facing you are the humidity and amount of rain. Both are pretty high to be ideal, but with that being said, I would start them in May. The only deciding factor I used is a little higher temps in May to help dry up the moisture. You will have to monitor them pretty close once they start flowering.
