Looks nice, and yeah my friend and I have a bong with a slide like that and we use a screen. That just reminded me though that i snapped the handle off the side of the slide last time I used it

 

I don't think you'd need screens, just put a big nug in the bottom of the bowl and pack around that with smaller pieces problem solved

 

I just got a bong almost exactly like that.
Mine is a straight tube, has a slit diffused downsteam, 4 arm perc, 16" tall. You'll love it man, trust me. All my friends say its probably one of the nicest bongs they hit.

Sorry OP, but $54 for a glass bong with a perc in it? Thats going to be very, very low quality I'm afraid.

 

Dont listen to this guy, my buddy has the same bong and it's awesome. Btw you'll need screens if you're using a grinder.

Look man, I know it really sounds like I'm coming off as an elitist or something by bumming on this guys purchase, but the fact of the matter is there is no way that bong is going to stay in one piece/ not drag like a motherfucker/ smoke the way a bong should at $50 with a perc in it. Any quality bong without a perc that size is $100+, unless you know the blower. A cursory glance through "OLS"'s "Smoke Shop" unveils numerous misspellations amongst the page- "Procdut of the Week", etc. Do you really expect a company that can't even take the time to spell check their website is producing a high-quality, durable bong?

Odds are this is a company based in China, using some sort of low quality glass, etc. There are loads of "China-Glass" bongs out there for $55 bucks that look cool, are relatively solid, and DON'T have intricate pieces of glassware made out of shoddy materials. One solid contact while putting that thing down on a table and I can almost guarantee a branch of that tree perc is snapping.

I'm not trying to say you have to spend a ton of money to smoke weed from a nice bong. But its a lot like buying a wal-mart-brand sports car when you buy a $50 bong with a tree perc.

As per your screens question: honestly, if the bong hasn't been made so that you don't need a screen to use the slide, doesn't that raise some concern?? Screens are mostly made for tobacco pipes, not bud. A solid 14 mm or 18 mm downstem won't have these problems, but a solid downstem like that should actually run you about what you're paying for the whole piece.

I'm prepared to take the heat from people arguing with me about my elitism and general disdain for low-quality glass. But if you really want a bong that's as nice as you imagine that one will be, save some scrap.

 

Sounds great man. I was going to order that exact same bong, i think i might later this week, its nice for us Aussie's to have atleast 1 decent glass connection too I rekon...
