Check out my grow box [emoji41] W/ Instructions

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by 420santos, Sep 23, 2018.

  1. My current vegetating grow Space was full so decided to take one plant and flower it right away (it’s the skinniest of the 3). Had nowhere else to put it and I didn’t want to buy a grow tent that starts at $45+, which is STILL gonna be cheap quality. Decided to make my own, I will explain how below for those who want to try as well. TOTAL COST ONLY $20 FOR MY GROW BOX.

    ALL YOU NEED:
    •Grand-Wardrobe Moving Box from U-Haul ($15)
•Reflective Mylar Sheeting ($5 On Amazon).
•Roll of Any kind of tape

    WHAT TO DO:
    1. Begin by making the box to its shape, and then start to tape the sheets of Mylar (should be cut out to fit a whole wall) of the box). Repeat 4x

    2. Place Box Upright, And cut a door opening. Make sure to cut the opening through the reflective Mylar , you will need to re-apply tape to stick it to the door so it opens with it.

    3. Hang Light on the pole provided (supports up to 110 lb). The grow box is NOT light-proof, but most people keep them in dark/hidden places to begin with.

MEASUREMENTS OF THE GROW BOX ARE 24x24x48.

Yes, it looks ghetto. BUT Yes, it gets the job done gr8. Let me know what you guys think

  2. not sure about this,
where's the air flow, filter and what lights above your plant as the plants looking streched ?

if very strong smell is not a problem where you live, you could pull this off but you need a 250w hps or a good led
may need the door half open and a fan direcly blowing air in to keep the plant cool

  3. I can see you’re reading skills aren’t up to par are they.. lol if you read above I clearly said it was the skinniest of all of my other plants, which have 4 running LED’s on them plus a cfl bulb. It’s stretched because it didn’t fit in my old space, which is why I made a new grow box.

  6. Do you have a light?
Is it a auto flower or photo
If a photo, it will stretch when light cycle is changed to 12/12
    Photos can stretch 100-200%
    You don’t understand that??
    First grow?

  7. 420santos your really not helping your self mate,
comments like that are not going to get you help

The thing is I have been a indoor perpetual grower for over 10 years and there not much i don't know about growing weed in soil under hps, must say never used leds but from the picture I can tell it looks like a healthy plant but any half decent grower can tell, your plant is not sick its stretch to hell.

and is not worth keeping, if you don't have space in your flower room, the harvest is going to be very low even is you give the plant the best light and flower it off now.

  8. Well, you see, I stated on my post that I did not have space in my flower room BEFORE making the homemade grow box. Now that I’ve made it and I have a spot to flower my plant, it makes what you said kind of useless. My plants are definitely not sick lol just not getting enough light as the others

  9. Are you actually going to ask me if I have a light my guy.. as if I’d be growing indoors with no light fixture.. you guys here are funny

  10. And as for the doubling size , did you see the grow box photos?? It clearly shows I have enough space to DOUBLE the height of my plant if I wanted to and still have my light hanging comfortably lol.. read and watch before you speak!

    Yes 48”
    Plant looks 18-24” or so
In flowering when it stretches and hits that little light ,and maybe further
Theres no top on the box
    You do no you need
    Ventilation, I see 0
    Air flow, nothing
And 100% darkness at lights out
    Good luck

  13. plants grow in size up till about 3 weeks in full flower, that means at some point you ran out of space

you can see the way a plant has grown, that its never had good quality light and the stems will not be able to support good quality buds

no mater how you look at it, you did not give this any thought before you dropped the seeds in water.
so what are you going to do now ?

you have a very stretched plant, if its not an auto seed and its a female plant grown from seed or clone , take cutting's and start again

don't think anyone will say flower this plant off and your pulling oz's, its going to happen

  14. I really hope he does a grow journal, call "how not to grow" lol

The funny thing is you want to flower a plant off in a cardboard box, at first I thought this was a joke.
even now you still don't have a list of things you need and equipment you have.

you tell us you have a cardboard box, Mylar and a plant and want some advice, (not much to go on)
we need to know what equipment you have, lights, fan, filter so we can give you helpful advice

most growers would put a list up and get help in return

  16. I foresee mould or a fire growing in a cardboard box.
