Eminem will rap circles around your favorite rapper.. I only hope that I did his beat enough justice. Feedback much appreciated, and if you have music of your own, feel free to share! Thank you for listening grasscity!

    *Lyrics*

Baby i'm finally moving on in my heart not just my mind/
The pain is gone with every dawn as i take part and watch it rise/
I can see your eyes, cold as ice, freeze me til i crystallize/
Sometimes we bleed inside just to know we're still alive/

But i revived after i died, yet i was tied down by regret/
That sinking feeling when you're thinking of all the things we ever said/
I was laying in bed with memories replaying in my head/
And only God was by my side so i chose to put Him first instead!/

We broke bread til i was fed then our relationship began/
When i put my plans in His hands and became a better man/
Please understand that because i've loved you so/
I had to let you go for us to grow like a rose underneath the snow/

Cause we were so outta control, like two birds in a cage/
Young & crazed and full of rage, your smile set my world ablaze/
Our lips would graze as hips engage, you were afraid that things would change/
From honeymoon to break up stage, i carry scars that'll never fade/

At any rate, i had to recreate myself or detonate/
And fight for this life that i elevate for i'm really not the type to wait for fate/
When i make a mistake, then i innovate, no stressing just progression
Cause there's always a lesson learned from every failure and rejection!/

You question my profession but my fans believe i'll make it/
I may not be a doctor yet i've always worked with patients (patience)
I'm often imitated tho they can never replicate it/
I'm too creative in my spaceship as i sabotage the matrix!

  2. Huge Eminem fan. It's not bad. I think it could have flowed a bit better though.

  3. its not a fuckin freestyle if u wrote it

  4. thanks i appreciate the feedback, i do see areas in which my flow could improve, i feel like i shouldn't have rushed and taken more time with my delivery.

  5. posted lyrics after i recorded it so ppl can understand bro, this verse was in my head before i laid it down. don't get mad man lol

  6. other then that i enjoyed it. long live hip hop

  7. its a written and we can all tell, but its good. dont trip

  8. Like dreadlocker said, no way this was a freestyle bro

That being said, it was pretty good, flow was nasty and the verse was well written

    8.5/10

  9. I doubt that is a freestyle, but nice job either way man.

    Great flow, deep lyrics.

  10. dat flow!

    keep doing you

  11. There's two types of freestyles, one meaning off the dome and a second meaning a verse that doesn't have a single definitive subject. This isn't either of those so it isn't a freestyle. Regardless it sounds alright, keep at it.

  12. thank you for taking the time to listen, i'm gonna try to keep improving just like how Eminem has really grown and evolved as an artist. stay up yal!

  13. Anytime a rapper goes over a previously used beat it is considered a freestyle. Lame, I know.

  14. i've never heard this before maybe in seattle...

also idk why you put freestyle you made a fucking music video for it lol.. i really hope it's not a freestyle cause that's a waste of time..

but it was alright need to work on your voice more than anything. keep it up

    also big L > eminem

  15. Funny you should mention Big L. It's not just in Seattle. Big L's famous 98 freestyle was pre-written.

  16. you still need to admit its not a freestyle and u were frontin. its the first step.

  17. naw. freestyle is off the top and nothing else. kids these days!

  18. smh.. tell that to Big L

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZO3sdfhxVI]Big L- '98 Freestyle Part 1 - YouTube[/ame]

This is a classic, titled 98 FREESTYLE, and it WAS NOT off the top of his dome.

And that is how it works.

  19. and i have never thought that track was a freestyle either. it doesnt matter who is frontin, be it big L or the poster of the thread. if its freestyle, its off the top. if not it can still be dope but its not a freestyle, even if they label it that.

the BORDERLINE is when a great emcee hops on a mic on the radio and raps written raps over ever changing beats. thats like, a semi freestyle, a display a lyricism and a sign that the rapper has alot of bars ready to go. still doesnt make it a real freestyle. and ull never change my mind.

  20. for exAmple

evidence "freestyles" here but is spittin writtens, while rakka iriscience is spitting a tru freestyle. i hope u can reconize what the difference is and why true freestyle is a important and currently underrated aspect of lyricism.

    peace
