Cheap Volcano Alternative

Well unless you're totally new you've surfed overgrow at least once and you may have seen Carlos' volcano alternative which uses all metal housing and a bag.

It sort of looks like those whippets contraptions for getting wasted for a few measly seconds off those canisters and it hooks to a heat gun (aka paint stripper)

You basically fill it just like a valoon but it's all metal with oven roasting bags as the vap baggie.


Anywho it got me thinking...

What if I took the heatgun idea mixed it with a whip design and added a chamber to cool shit down fast?

Well what I ended up with is a pyrex flask with a whip shoved in the top (avoid the rubber stoppers...always soak the cork in water or use paper towels wrapper around the whip) secured by a cork stopper I used the drillpress on I then scraped it into more of a taper to hold it solid.

Next up I picked up a swiss made variable temp heatgun (we all know an love 'em...lol) used a pipe cutter to shorten it's reducer nozzel to fit my whip perfectly sealing on the second level of downsizing from the main nozzel.

Then I stuck some tube on the flasks nipple and added a bag with a clip to do volcano style or left it alone to just let it flow into my mouth off the flask (which also holds some of it's own for portable vapping...2 person portable vapping at the same time!)

Anyone else here make themselves a nice lung soreness free active vap like this?

A few ideas I had just in case it's hard to find items...or you wanna build cheaper..

Try Pier1 type places for cork topped bottles you can use to hold the whip and consider if health isn't the issue an high is buying a non ceramic coated coil model with only 2 settings and 2 fan speeds. Something like 1100 and 600 temps with high low and 'cool' mode for under 50 bucks can do you in a pinch.


So for the 'best' (imho) version of this a true thick pyrex filtering flask is needed a nice whip and a ceramic heating element driven gun.

I guess a good guesstimate on this whole setup would be 15 for the flask 20 for the whip (replacement from headshop) and 89 for the gun. You of course could go for a led full temp control gun for 150+ but it's all up to you and your involvement with making the vapor action happen.

For a cheap model a 40 some dollar gun with a 600 setting a fan speed setting and a 'cool' mode setting will work you just have to basiaclly turn it on full blast till it's glowing red then switch it off quickly put it in the whip fire up at mid level then as soon as you see waifting smoke/vap in the chamber or pier1 jar you throw it into 'cool' mode to just slowly cool it down as to do the same slow cooking the volcano does as well as the variable temp indie models of heat gun.

 

I decided the last time I choked my ass off on a stale bong rip that looked milky that I'd never fuck with any sort of pipe bubbler or bong unless I was forced to.

I'm tryin' to keep to it...lol already kill my lungs with a pack a day and the vaporizer cleans that shit right up plus from what I've heard thc somehow makes cells react in such a way as to revert to being 'normal' again even if you got a fairly big tumor or growth going. Sort of like a cell reset button for those deformed cancer cells. If true many of the pioneer vappers of the 00's should be doing fine in their last days...toking an so forth till the end.
