Hi guys! Just planted 3 small autos and was planning on growing in my greenhouse as we get loads of sun where I live. Problem is this year it's been so cloudy and my plants are a little small for 3 weeks old. I don't have much cash, either for lights or the electricity bill, but I've found these on Amazon : Amazon.es I was wondering if they would help at all? Thinking of bringing them in on dull days and giving them a bit extra light. I can't afford to spend much more really but don't want to waste my cash if they are useless! Any advice would be well appreciated Ruz
here is your problem Geoengineering Affects You, Your Environment, and Your Loved Ones buy the best you can afford and run it on them at night
I've k own about geoengineering for about 29 years now... disgraceful, but doesn't answer my question
the light you linked is only 65w. Suitable for a seedling. Those autos like light 24/7. Probably the cheapest light would be a 400w hps. for about $120. 600w would be better. If you go the led route look for something that draws at least 120w from the wall, and they are usually given names to imply they are as powerful as a bigger hps. I can vouch for the 120-150w hlg lights but they start to get more exxpensive. I turn my hlg's down to 120w and run them 18 inches above the canopy. They also make a 100w that is more economical and cpould be used as a night light. I would run the sun for 12 hours then electricity for 12 hours. The cheap led lights on amazon are not bound by any rules about advertising, so they make outlandish claims. It's the real watts drawn from the wall that count and 30w min to 50w max per square foot is ususally required for flowering. Almost any of them will veg a plant, but you need more to produce decent flowers. The autos only have a short life span so they need as much light as you can afford for the last 60 days of their life. Hope this helps. Always looking to help any one who at least declares the spraying dissgraceful.
One of those lights per plant they will work just fine. I made a post and harvest using one of those cheap lights . I paid 30 bucks if i rem correctly . It pulled a good yield . Issue you will have . Light covers the plants when the sun is out . I would get some cheap t5 bulbs put a single t5 over the top of the plant . The good It will provide some light . They do veg really well. Not a huge light wont block the sun. The bad not great for flowering it will pull yield led is better . I would do t5 over the big qb panels you listed . Reason concern your blocking all the sun with the boards unless you plan on going out every day and removing them. Something like this T5 Single Bulb Light Strip - 24" Do not buy led bulbs for these fixtures junk
Thanks. The fixtures aren't overly expensive so it's doable, although I'm going to end up paying quite a lot on import duties as I'm in Spain. Which are the bulbs you would recommend for these fixtures? Thanks. Gonna see if I can find something similar in Europe first
any bulb that is 4200 kelvin and up . as long as it says 55 watts . Yeah this is old proven teck i stull use today. Newer is not always better . So veg 4200 and up to 10000. Flower is 4200 and lower . You can just use the higher numbers your outside anyways .The sun is full spectrum so i see zero difference . The 4200 and up will be brighter then the lower numbers . I would do 42 and up I would not get the lower for flower being outside . Now its up to you i really like thee bulbs in the 10k for veg plants love it . Its just a bit faster Again you have outside light that already has all the in it. Those 10 k bulbs are not cheap and may be a waste of money. More for a indoor grow . Just buy the budget bulbs you will not see a difference . So you know you can find these bulbs in any hardware store as well. No need to buy direct grow lights and pay extra
