Hey everyone! Are these kind of LED panels a scam? 12v Blue Red Mixed 225 LED Grow Light Panel Indoor Garden Hydroponic Plant Lamp | eBay would i be able to grow 1-2 plants from it? what LED lights would your recommend for around 50 bucks give or take?
The reason that lamp is crap is because it is using very low power LEDs, there may be a lot of them, but they just won't provide the output and penetration of light needed for the job. I have a DIY 70w unit I made myself and its pretty impressive, but still nothing crazy, that's made with 3w chips. And it cost a good 150 to build. I had a mini fridge with four. 43w cfl's and I got 1.5oz dry and cured, not bad for 60 bucks of cfl's !
You guys are 100% wrong. I bought one about 3 months ago and it makes the best night light anyone can ask for. Oh, you mean for plants? Yea, they are shit.
yea. got 4 now. so far plants are actually going fair. but overall, i am not impressed. spend same money on cfls like mentioned above
