Started flower 40 days after sprout and expecting around 2 ounce average per plant under 34 of the 28 watt cfls. Shitty ass cardboard reflector with some junk aluminum foil. Big ass box fan sounds ready to break. Haven’t had any issues with these plants other than the fan blowing leaves into the side lights but it’s all good. Looking very frosty and fast. I wouldn’t be surprised if these are a true 8 weeker. Smells like skunk and sometimes crushed grapes mixed with a sweet incense type smell. The most pronounced scent is skunk.

You have too much growing skill to waste you time on CFL bulbs. You say cheap ass setup but when I look at how many bulbs you're running and think about the electricity costs per lumen of actual light output that's not as cheap ass of a setup as you think.

If you want to put your grow skill to real work get some real horticultural grade grow lights as soon as possible. You may not think they're worth it or whatever but with your skill a good light setup would pay for itself first grow I would bet my life savings on it. You'll grow more money worth of bud with good lights then that light setup was worth or my name isn't TboneShuffle... and it isn't. =)

Buy a four pack of these boards on amazon. It's probably way less money then you have in bulbs already.
    www.amazon.com/4x-QB132-Quantum-Boards-3500K/dp/B078P4K8J9/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524448624&sr=8-3&keywords=qb132

Buy one of these power supplies and wire each board in parallel to the included output screws.

That's about $175 by the time you're done for 300 watts worth of world class led output. Those diode have some of the most efficient output on the market. That 300 watt setup will put out what 1200 watts of cfl does. Your electric bill will thank you. It's not a wild investment. And there's no way it won't grow you $200 more bud then what you're using. It would save you that much per grow in electricity.

That is some of the best cfl bud I've seen.

  6. I was thinking the same thing t bone the guy has a lot of skill in growing because hos weed looks perfect almost ready to smoke. But the amount of bulbs in that roof would be like 750w or some shit like that but if he's happy with that then that's cool and he's got the cfls all pretty close and perfect. I don't really see how a quantum board will pull more yield out of 700w. Maybe if he had 100 light bulbs in there I'd say yeah go led but he's only got 30 odd light bulbs.

  7. The quantum boards at 300 watts will put out as much lights as 1000-1200 watts of cfl's. There's already youtube videos where a 60 watt qb120 board is put up against a 200 watt cfl setup and it gets close to the same par numbers.

  8. CFL's are very inefficient at actual light output. They're only good for about 70 lumens per watt if you get good bulbs. Higher wattage cfl's are actually lower in lumens per watt.

Those leds are about 177 lumens per watt so roughly 3 times the efficiency on the lumen scale. If you switch to the par scale the leds outperform the cfl's by even more.

  9. I use qb120's on my veg setup. I use 4 of them in a 4x4. I used to use only two and they actually filled it fine and grew large veg plants. I have some old pics of my veg 4x4 with only 120 watts of qb120's.

  10. This guy actually switched from growing with 200 watts of cfl's to a single qb120 and his plants took off.
HLG QB120 boards in 3k in stock for $29.
He got near 4oz's from a single board.

  11. 34 28w CFLs is kicking up close to 1kw of power, 952w to be precise.

That's a LOT of wasted energy, he could do better with more efficient lighting

  12. Here's one with a single 70w QB132 (2700k) over it..To be fair..there is a QB 288 (3000k) on the other side over another plant.
