Chatterbox Mom

  1. Okay, this is REALLY annoying me right now, so I suppose I'll bitch about it on Grass City rather then bitch about it in person and start an argument.

Anyways my mom is always on the phone. All day. Every day. IDK why, but it's driving me crazy. I seriously wonder how long she could go without her cell phone for once. I really really REALLY just want to turn the phone off and hide it. I understand that she's taking care of business, but even when she's not, she's always on the damn phone anyways. It is SO annoying. Maybe the only reason I really care is because I can't go outside in the back yard and toke because when she's on the phone she's also in and out of the house. GRRRR. Swear to god, I'm gonna toss that phone outta the window one of these days!!!

Is there anyone else out there that can relate to me?

  2. Anyone who knows a woman can relate

  4. Cell phones make people feel important, connected, and active.

Why does it bother you so much, is the real question? Sounds like maybe she's on the phone so much that she doesn't pay enough attention to her REAL life?

    Is that your real issue?

  5. Hell, even if that's not the problem, tell your mom she's on her cellphone too much.

Be like, "Hey do you ever just stop and look around and enjoy the life you have here!?"

That might make her consider what she's doing, and chill out a bit.

As for your smoking issue, in this situation, I'd say you need to find a new spot to smoke. Pretty sure it's your mom's house, her phone, and so on.... The fact that she inconveniences you...is kinda her right. That's what parents do, since caveman days.

So if the problem is ONLY that you can't smoke......smoke somewhere else. If the problem is her being on the cell phone all the damn time, I can see how that would be annoying.

  6. I can honestly say that no woman I know does that. When I'm present the women snap to attention, since I'm such a player.

But when it comes to mothers, I can say you've got it quite a bit better than most. My mother will disagree with every statement that comes from my mouth, even when she agrees fully. Here's an example.

Me: "I think my father has to relax more often, it's always good to stop and smell the roses every now and then.
Mother: "No, he's just working too hard and needs to relax."
Me: "What?? You just disagreed with me and then you agreed!"
    Mother: "No..."
    Me; "Forget it."

    Sounds fun, eh?

  7. Yes, that is indeed the real issue: ).
