I stopped in at my local Gardening AND Hydroponics store in a large metro area of The Washington Puget Sound to purchase some Tiger Bloom and other supplies. I asked about their display of canister charcoal filters they usually have on display and was told that they can't sell them anymore. She said that they removed them last week. It was a political decision made on the state level. I asked her about her online order store and she said it applies to her retail sales and everyone eles's. I suspect industrial and instituitonal contractors can get what they need. This is mentioned here because I haven't heard this news elsewhere Has anyone else heard about this?
washington state is very strict. you can make your own very easily using auqairum activated charcoal. they use it to filter water. its readily avalable and way less expencive .
