Ok so i just came across something called the chaos theory on another forum. Someone created a thread about the movie the butterfly effect and someone mentioned the chaos theory which derives from the butterfly effect. Someone then posted a video about the chaos theory, it has 6 parts, and it absolutely blew my freaking mind. It changed my perspective on life, the universe, creation, everything. So do yourself a favor and watch all 6 parts and tell me what you think. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEpZFEIDHdc]YouTube - BBC - The Secret Life of Chaos (2010) (Part 1/6)[/ame]
Scroll down a few threads and you find this one http://forum.grasscity.com/science-nature/533116-secret-life-chaos.html
Yes, but it's good enough to deserve its own thread Like when I posted the "Universe from nothing" lecture by Lawrence Krauss in some thread I cannot remember, and a week or so later later an unaware Sam Spade made a new thread featuring that video *cough* Yes, I know. Planting the flag of "mefirst", I just couldn't help it
Sorry i don't frequent the science section that often. This is the first time i heard of this theory so i had to post it as soon i watched the video
Aww sheeet. What if everything is feedback (not sure I'm using that in the right context)? What if we today are the evolved computer-beings? What if we have evolved so much that this is how we are. Fractals are forever repeating, like nature. So what if someone designed us on a computer (or whatever device), and now our intelligence has gotten to the point where we repeat by designing these little guys on our computers...which in return evolve and repeat the process again. This is all from part 6/6 by the way. Maybe I'm giving the computer programs a little too much credit.
Reminds me of Michio Kaku...a cheerleader really trying to grab the camera's eye when the brilliant minds are actually doing the real work. -- Yet the teams providing supporting work rarely get mention..he wants book deals, movie deals, tv time, the camera on his face as much as he can get. He's a better business man than you catch at first glance...but it's ugly to me. Maybe i'm a bit sinister here but I don't like him much.
i think we are a form of computer, its just that as human beings when we think of computers we think of the desktop or laptops in front of us, when in fact a computer is a thinking, real figure...........saw the chaos video like 3 days ago and yea its pretty crazy, downright unreal to think about everything out there....
