Changing light schedule during flower

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by BIOxHAZARDOUS, Jul 13, 2017.

  1. Long story short I started growing for my first time during winter and had a few heat issues. I'm now on week 3 of flower on my second grow and now that temps outside are reaching 100* my flower box is hitting 91* but I run my lights during from 6am to 6 pm. so I want to switch them fun from 6pm to 6 am to help lower my temps. What is the safest way to do that without harming my buds?

  2. Run two dark periods back to back and set the timer to the new schedule.

  3. And it won't negatively affect anything?

  4. No,.... ill informed growers leave their plants in darkness for two or three days trying to increase trichome production. It does nothing to enhance trichomes, but it doesn't hurt the flowering cycle. People shift timing schedules all the time with no negative results.
