Changing keyboard shortcuts

Discussion in 'Silicon (v)Alley' started by HCL, Mar 10, 2010.

  1. Hey, I've been looking online and haven't found what I need yet so I'm turning to GC.

I have Windows 7 and on my keyboard, I have buttons on the top and left side of my keyboard that are shortcuts to things like music players, internet, volume, favorites, email, etc. I was wondering if anybody knows how to change those so I can edit what program it opens with each button.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  2. What type of keyboard is it?

Since those are not standard keyboard keys, your keyboard manufacturer should have software available for download. The software should allow you to reprogram the keys.

It's a Logitech. Weird thing though, is when I pressed the media player button WMP would always show up. Randomly it switched to Real Player yesterday...

EDIT: Downloaded the software and it works. Thanks a bunch, man!
