you may have seen my other thread about this, but i am now posing it as a GC challenge No prize, just seeing if anyone is interested, i CHALLENGE YOU ALL to pluck a nice healthy fan leaf of at least 5 leaflets and attempt to root it. this is a "for shits n giggles" challenge, i want to see if anyone can do it, i will be taking my fan leaf cutting today and using a Bubble Bottle cloner i made, consisting of a water bottle, RO water, a drop of superthrive, and TakeRoot power on the leaf. my recomendation is cut it off the mother at a 45 degree angle like we all do, but then take the razor and make about a centimeter vertical cut up the stem, since leaf stems ore tiny you need all the suface area for roots as well. If SOMEONE CAN MANAGE to get new growth and not just a self sufficient leaf, i may come up with a prize now that ma kitteh is back home from the vet ima have a lil extra spending money from my checks takers so far: Lalaman33333 cannaman90
Is that even possible?? I tried it before when I didn`t know how to take a clone. none of them survived... used all the right tools and method. I have a 100% success rate with normal clones
its definitely possible, we did it in a horticulture cclass with an apple leaf in high school, just stayed a leaf though, had roots and everything but never beca,e more than a leaf with roots, i just want to see someone do it with cannabis you would HAVE to use a bubble bucket or the water cloning method to keep a constant supply of water, but i think it can be done
About that cloner you mentioned, made of a water bottle. So your saying the stem would just sit in a full bottle of water basically?
So you want to see a cannabis leaf in the dirt? Sounds pretty pointless and a waste of soil, space and time. But I guess if you have the time and you could make some cool personal home decorations with them, Ill give it a try.,
