CFLs Color Temperatures...

  1. I use these (2700K):

    In theory you'll want 2700K color temp for flowering and 6000K or 7000K for vegging.
    My experience shows 4100K does vegging pretty well.

    Philips CFL or tubes are a good choice.
    Their not the cheapest but better much quality then Blablatech from China.
    Many of the really cheap CFLs sold have technical issues. Everything from short(er) life span to disastrous malfunction is possible.
    I advise you to buy from a well-known brand, they have a reputation to keep up.
