Really basic question here for just starting out. CFL's listed as 60 watt 6500K on the box in store, on the actual bulb it shows 13watts. Also notice with 40 watt bulbs it will read 11. What measurement do I go by? Thanks

Typically you don't want anything less than 23-26 watts because you would need so many bulbs to get anything done. The 23-26 watters are listed as 100W incandescent equivalent
right on that's a good suggestion. I have used 26 watts on some cacti, it was decent, BTW mr. OP there is a lot of good info on GC regarding CFL's, it has popped up in the last year or so in a major way around these sorts. do the search.
