CFL vs GlowPanel

  1. That product will grow one plant. Some varieties deal with different light types better than others. But that panel only has 2 narrow spectrums of light. Ideally you want some white, uv, and some more orange.

    So, to answer the questions.

Yes it will grow one plant.

No it's not even close to a 250 watt hps...nor a 150 for that matter.

Yes you would be better off with CFL's of the correct spectrum.

That light would probably be best suited as supplementary lighting or side lighting in a larger garden. Just my opinion.

  2. Check out htg supply they have everything i would look into the 50 watt led tri spectrum red bule and white it will easy out grow cfls and you will have one awesome plant

  3. Growpanel DIY is basically christmas lights in a lightbright... its junk get a 150W HPS over that. I would do T5 over that or even CFL.

  4. i was told that i cant put a hps in a 4'x2' and 2' deep box so i cant use hps :confused:

  5. Go T5 should give you quality just not quantity.

  6. would i be able to put the 150watt hps inside my box? and will it grow a good quantity plant?

  7. You could very easily do a 150W with a little ventilation. And yes a 150W would grow 1 plant very well especially if you use some kind of LST / topping / SCROG anything to expand canopy.

  8. I have a 400 watt hps in my grow tent a DR 60 2x2x5. You can put any size light, You need to make sure you are pulling that hot air out. Id have the exaust connected to the hood to draw all that hot air from the bulb. And get a External ballast. That way it is not inside the tent. They do get hot.

I have the Glow Panel 45. I use it for Veggin with CFLS and flower with the HPS. let me know if u need more help. :hello::hello:
