Hey ive been looking to get some CFL daylights, but all i can find are the soft whites and the trilights. What is trilight and would it be suffice for vegetation?
in a pinch, either light will work for either application. like you can flower with a mh and veg with an hps, but your end results will be better if you use the proper K rating. what is the color temp of these trilights? i'm gonna assume that they are full spectrum in which case they are fine for veg.
yeah buy those above if you see them you must live in the boonies with no WalMart close, is there home depot,or lowes, what brands do you see at the store? Trilight I'm assuming means that it can change wattages with the switch which has three settings(tri)probably 50-100-150(equivalent incandescent)don't know the kelvin i'm guessing it's 2700k.
can you find any CFLs? (the 'curly' bulbs) dont get incandescents whatever you do. any lighting store or hardware store should at least have some CFLs. some dont say 'daylight' on them, but check the packaging for the colour temperature, listed in kelvin (K). 5000K-6500K for vegging, and 2700K for flowering.
