wow man, definitely a nice find. i was gonna leap and just get hps but THIS is a lot easier than setting up like 6 cfl bulbs aha
They are only 65 watts each, which in my opinion is barely enough for 1 plant per ballast/bulb I bought these online and they screw in to any normal socket,they are self ballasting. Like $18 bucks or so each and they are 85 watts. Plus I signed up for Google checkout and got $10 off the total!!!!!
The major drawback to screw-ins is that they dont come with reflectors. You should build your own cuz your only utilizing about half the power. Where did you buy those 85W CFL? Online?
I am not to worried cuz the cfl's are mainly for the under growth bud sites, but now that I am LST'ing I may try to make some type of reflector.
i found those same lights on ebay. the cfl box fixture flourex ones. do they plug right into a standard outlet?
i wasnt trying to dis the product any. it looks great i wouldnt mine getting one or to my self but do you know if they got a different spectrum bulb you can buy so you can flower with it?
