Hey guys, after a lot of planning, cutting, drilling and wiring, finally the growbox is complete and waiting to host its first lucky female plant. I've attached 3 pictures, the guitar hero controller is for size reference You can see the intake and exhaust holes at the top (above the panel) and bottom left corners of the grow box. The cables holding the light fixtures can be pulled back and forth to adjust their height. The fans at the top panel are 12" sleeve bearing computer fans. I've decided to make the screen into a spherical shape to maximize the surface area and hopefully get a bigger yield. I guess I should make some light traps for the exhaust and intake, but I'm pretty sure I'm missing a lot of other stuff, so if there is anything you guys can suggest to improve the setup, I would be very glad to hear it! Peace
i plan to be growing super lemon haze in that box, dimensions are 48.8" x 13.2" x 22" 8 x 28W CFLs (too much?)
Do the test drive. Run your bulbs for couple of hours and measure the temperature.... Make sure to have it under control before you stick your plant in... P.S.btw more light comes from the side of the bulb, if i be you I would go with single 200W CFL ,similar to this one:Sunlight Supply 960207 | Garden Bright Reflector | Mogul 8' Cord | Express Light Bulbs
thanks for your reply, that looks much more convenient, but won't there be a problem with the bulb being too far away from the plants?
Attach your bulb to the top and put your plant on the top of bunch of books, when plant grow taller remove the books..... Or you can attach your lamp on the chains and move it up and down if you have to.... P.S.But before you do anything spend more time reading , it will save you money... P.P.S.Go to grow journal sections to see different set ups...
wow all that work. should have just got a 150w hps. they only 60-100$ online and you probly have better results
